Big News at InitialView, Part 3

Right before Chinese New Year a reporter from The Next Web asked us for an update on the year. We had been so in the weeds that we almost didn't realize the progress we had made.

Here are some things to note:

(1) We are now accepted by 38 out of the top 50 U.S. national universities and 39 out of the top 50 national liberal arts schools, each as rated by the U.S. News and World Report, as well as by many more top regional schools.

(2) This year our interviews have been a part of thousands of U.S. college applications from China-based applicants.

(3) While based on preliminary numbers, students which had our interviews as part of their early admission application had a more than 50% higher acceptance rate compared to those who didn’t. We had always thought that our unscripted interviews could be one of the most powerful tools for admission officers, and we are thrilled that now the initial data is so clearly demonstrating our value.

Here’s a final quote:

The startup may have a nice cycle ahead for itself as new school partnerships attract more students, which will in turn catch the attention of more schools. The growing trend of Chinese students making their way overseas to study doesn’t appear to be letting up anytime soon, so InitialView is well on it way to grabbing an early lead in its industry.
