Talk at Technode

This weekend we were thrilled to be invited to talk along with Jesper Lodahl of SmarTots at TechNode's event on EdTech startups in Beijing.

It's always great to have a chance to update the startup community in Beijing on what we are doing and make connections with people who are interested in the space.

Increasing Transparency

We want to once again thank China Merchants Bank for inviting us to talk at their parent event on Saturday in Wuhan. It’s clear that the time we had was too short! If there’s one takeaway for us, it is that parents in China also suffer from a lack of transparency (the “agent” industry in China benefits from keeping both admission officers and parents of applicants in the dark). We were glad to help parents understand a little more about U.S. higher education and—even more importantly—where to get information that they could trust.

We are grateful for the hospitality of China Merchants Bank and we look forward to more events with them in the future.

InitialView and China Merchants Bank

We are excited to announce that we are teaming up with China Merchants Bank and its “Study-Abroad Club” (students of the Chinese language will realize that's a loose translation -- a more exact translation would be "Study-Abroad Mothers' Club"). China Merchants Bank is one of the largest banks in China, and one of its key businesses is assisting students who study abroad with their financial needs. To date, China Merchants Bank has helped thousands of study-abroad students.

This Saturday we’ll be giving an open talk at the Wuhan chapter of the Study-Abroad Club. We'll be talking on the U.S. higher education system and options for students and parents, as well as sharing our own experiences in U.S. higher ed. If you are interested in attending, please email us here or contact China Merchants Bank at 027-51895555.
